Daily Deviation

"feelings sec. by ~MecuroBCotto left me speechless when I first saw it. It portrays in such an explicit way the feeling that I think everyone has experienced at least once in their lives; the need of freedom, the need of change, the need of redemption. For me, this picture works as an allegory. The branches of the tree connote the various choices and paths that led the girl to this point and her holding on to them on the one hand, and leaning forward ready to take the leap on the other hand, show the turning point on one's life. The time that you either take the leap and leave everything behind and deny all your choices that brought you there, or hold on to them and fight for them because they are the ones that made you the person you are. In addition, the nudity of her upper body shows that she's opened her heart and soul to the decision she's about to make because that's the only way to make the right choice since you're the one that has to live with it." it resembles me of that moment of losing contact with the ground, losing contact with the reality. this photo has magical essence. despite being on the ground, she looks so close to the sky and well, I can feel what freedom really is. it is an amazing photo, an indescribable one.
